Match Result
24th May 2008 - Against Beenleigh
What a great game of football and a well earned win for the ACE boys and coaching staff. Stunning to watch, the team has again shown us what they are capable of by beating the current table leaders 3 to 1.
19th April 2008 - Against Capalaba
A large and enthusiastic crowd turned up to Wolter Park for the game against Capalaba who arrived with an undefeated record so far in the season making them second in the points table. The game started in very good spirit with both teams showing good attacking football and both keepers making some excellent saves, but it was a great turn from Albany Creek which got the first goal on the scoreboard. Albany Creek defended the one goal lead well into the first half break and came out determined to win teh second half.
Capalaba came at us with everything applying pressure on our defensive line and goal keeper who stood up to the task and maintained Capalaba scoreless until 15 minutes from full time when a fifty fifty action was dealt with harshly by the referee and a penalty given against Albany Creek to equal the scores.
Unfortunately a few minutes later the referee saw another penalty against Albany Creek which was not as evident to the many spectators or the players on the field. Our goal keeper Nathan made a great effort but a well hit penalty by Capalaba hit the back of the net. Being one goal down enthused the Ace boys with a fast kick off and some strong attacking footbal. The pressure on Capalaba was obvious and with five minutes to go in the match, a goal saving tackle in the penalty box resulted in a penalty to Albany Creek. Unfortunately it was not our night and the penalty hit the fence to the side of the goal and the match finished two to one to Capalaba.
Whilst the season started with some definate problems, there was no doubt in any ACE supporters mind that John and the boys have worked through the problems and the team has come out strong and united. The game was played in very good spirit and the ACE boys demonstrated that they can play hard and exciting football. Personally I felt you deserved the three points and some harsh decisions worked against us, but that's football. We all look forward to the next home match against Ipswich Knights. Go ACE you made us all very proud.

Senior Football
The clubs most senior team is the the Premier Division 1 League which is a highly contested competition made up of some of the stongest teams in Briesbane. Our club has a strong belief that a club with a talented depth of youth must have an enthusiastic and high performing senior squad which provides the opportunity for junior players to be exposed to the clubs topside early in their playing careers.
Recipe for Success
A good work ethic, being fit and having the technical skills are all important ingredients to be a competitive in this league but equally important is the enjoyment factor and the local support that can be achieved. The senior coaches are recruiting players who will be great ambassadors for the club and can become role models for our juniors – and we hope that the parochial support of all junior parents will add to the team’s performance
ACE is always looking to develop young players within the club, however also welcomes talented players and coaches looking to be involved with the club. For information, please contact the Senior Vice President of the club.
